Selecting the right grass for your needs

An El Toro Zoysia Grass turf.El Toro Zoysia Grass is an upright growing variety with a dark green color. All zoysia grasses grow well in a wide range of soils, and have an excellent drought tolerance and wear-ability. El Toro just takes it to a new level.

El Toro placed No. 1 at 12 of the 20 locations for commercially available turf varieties in a recent National Zoysiagrass Evaluation Program. El Toro rated No. 1 in rapid growth rate, spring and fall density, cold hardiness, and winter color. Additionally, it was No. 2 in darkest genetic color.

Texas A&M Dallas, one of the nations leading zoysia breeders, rates El Toro as up to 75% better drought tolerance over both Belaire and Meyer. It withstands wetter conditions better than all other varieties, it's growth rate is 50-75% faster and has proven to have stronger resistance to disease.
